What counts as a "failed" payment?

Any recurring charge that doesn't authorise on the first attempt — expired or replaced cards, soft declines like insufficient funds, scheme do-not-honor responses, or 3DS step-up failures. Recover handles them all.

How does Recover decide when to retry?

Intelligent Retries is driven by issuer-led Retry Advice messages, historical collection trends across our portfolio, your own merchant-configured retry windows, and live signals from each scheme.

Are blind retries safe?

No — and that's exactly why we don't do them. Blind retries can trigger scheme fines and customer friction. Every retry from Recover is informed by a live issuer signal or a learnt pattern.

What happens when retries reach their limit?

Automated Payment Links take over. The customer receives a secure email or SMS with a hosted checkout that lets them settle the charge in one tap — with any payment method available, not just the one that failed.

Does Recover work with my existing acquirer?

Yes. Recover sits across the platform and operates on the transactions Acquired processes for you. Multi-acquirer setups are supported out of the box.

How do I see what's been recovered?
