Taxi and private hire tipping payment firm tippmee have partnered with Acquired.com to make their payments more streamlined for professional drivers and their passengers.

tippmee is a new cashless way for passengers to tip taxi and private hire drivers during journeys, which uses a headrest cover and personalised insert that includes a unique driver QR Code and NFC tag technology. Passengers simply scan or tap the driver’s headrest cover with their mobile to leave a tip via Apple Pay/Google Pay or any debit/credit cards.

When looking for a payments provider to help support their growth ambitions, it was important to find a cost-effective provider who delivered a consultative solution which suited tippmee’s unique payment needs. The integration with Acquired.com’s payment gateway will enable passengers on board to make contactless mobile payments via Apple Pay/Google Pay and any debit/credit cards. As tippmee looks to grow their business in the UK, their partnership with Acquired.com aims to accelerate the delivery of streamlined tipping solutions which benefit both rider and driver alike.

Jason Rivolta, Co-Founder and CEO of tippmee, said: “Our business is going from strength to strength with more passengers pre paying for their hire and wanting to tip for a fantastic drive. Working with Acquired.com has allowed us to offer a streamlined and secure payment experience for our passengers and through their treasury services ensure our drivers receive their tips in a timely manner. The team at Acquired.com have been so helpful during the integration process, we worked closely with our POC Marissa which made the process so much easier.”

To celebrate this new partnership, tippmee are offering a 50% discount on both products to all Acquired.com clients and drivers – https://tippmee.com/acquired
